This Valentine’s Day, we’d like our bunch of roses bottled. Spoiling your significant other with a lovely rose infused scent puts a fresh spin on an age-old tradition. After all as they say, a rose by any other name still smells as sweet…
Fab fact: The rose traditionally represents love and affection, but why? The tradition dates back to the 1700s, and is said to have stemmed from great legends such as the story of Cupid and his assigned task of delivering a bowl of sweet nectar to the gods. As the legend goes, on the way to Mount Olympus, he spilled some of the nectar, which fell to earth, and where the drops of nectar fell, roses grew. The rose is also said to have been the favourite flower of Venus, the Goddess of Love.
Fellas – listen up! Just like each colour of the rose represents a different meaning in the language of love, so too does your choice of fragrance. Follow our legend below to determine which scent ‘says it best’…make scents?
The Red Rose = Love and passion.
The Pink Rose = Sweetheart and new love.
The White Rose = True, pure love.
