Victoria Beckham Diet Jokes
It would be easy to assume that the famous-for-not-smiling, chic-as-they-come Victoria Beckham was without a sense of humour but, in reality, the former Spice Girl continuously surprises and delights with her ability to laugh at herself and in a just-released profile in T Magazine, this rather charming trait shines through yet again.
The interviewer for the piece, Sarah Lyall, joked that Victoria, “declined the suggestion to include a plate of grapes or some such in the picture. ‘We don’t want anyone to know I eat,’ she said. ‘Why ruin that?’”
Victoria also disclosed part of the reason she is never smiling in candid photographs. She said, “When you’re in a position to be paparazzi-ed just walking down the street, you’d look a little daft if you were smiling all the time.” Fair call, really!
There were plenty of other tidbits about Victoria and her family throughout the feature, including that David is the cook of the family, that Victoria has zero issues with her age (39), and that the family employs a personal chef presumably for those times David is too busy to cook!
The T Magazine profile left us even more in love with VB than ever before. She’s a surprisingly witty, strong-willed woman with a whole lot to give. Team Posh forever.
Ben Affleck to Play Batman
In news that has completely divided the social media world, it has just been announced that Ben Affleck is the next actor to play Batman.
Warner Bros. made the official announcement this morning on their Facebook page, saying, “Ending weeks of speculation, Ben Affleck has been set to star as Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne. Affleck and filmmaker Zack Snyder will create an entirely new incarnation of the character in Snyder’s as-yet-untitled project — brining Batman and Superman together for the first time on the big screen and continuing the director’s vision of their universe, which he established in Man of Steel.”
The news proved just as prolific and dividing on social media as that of the superhero duo’s impending filmic union was earlier this year. We have to admit, we’re not sold on the prospect but Snyder did a good job convincing us Affleck could be the man for the job. In a statement on Hypable he said, “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s [Cavill] Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”
The film is slated to open worldwide on July 17, 2015 and will start Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane alongside Affleck and Cavill.
Heidi Klum Talks Nude Selfies
If any celeb owns the hashtag #sexyselfie, it’s Heidi Klum. The supermodel has become famous for posting topless selfies all over her Twitter and Instagram feeds, much to the delight of straight males around the world and much to the concern of parents with impressionable teenagers.
The risqué posts have naturally attracted a fair few cries of ‘over-share’ from critics but a recent interview with Access Hollywood proves Klum can’t see what all the fuss is about.
The 40-year-old model said, “I always think everyone who can’t handle a photo should unfollow me right now.” She continued to explain that her Mum is often the one behind the camera and that, “exhibitionism runs in my family.”
The latest post in the series shows Klum completely nude in black and white and, we must say, if we had that body, we’d be wanting to show it off too!
