Victoria Beckham is Eager to Wear Her New Collection and Whitney Port Finds Fashion Inspiration from a Kaleidoscope

Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Pinterest

Victoria Beckham is excited to wear her new Victoria, Victoria Beckham collection as the dresses are perfect for trans-seasonal style and Whitney Port’s new Whitney Eve collection was inspired by a kaleidoscope she discovered at her grandmother’s house.

The singer-turned-designer has launched a more affordable line – Victoria, Victoria Beckham – and loves all the pieces and is looking forward to donning some the outfits.

Speaking about a 3/4 length sleeve short dress, Victoria said, “I love this dress, it’s a perfect weight for an English spring, I can’t wait to wear it and solve any mid-season problems.”

The mother-of-four is also a fan of her pink and black scalloped dress, telling Stylist magazine, “This dress is so girly! I’d wear it with a high black shoe and a chain shoulder bag just to give it my own twist. But I think it would equally great with flats.”

Meanwhile, Victoria celebrated her recent successful New York Fashion Week with a shopping spree in the Big Apple.

The former Spice Girls star – who wowed the critics with eighth collection of high-end dresses for her Victoria Beckham line – looked her usual stylish self in calf-length grey checked dress, dark red cardigan and matching bag as she visited stores including Miu Miu and Prada.

As well as wowing the critics, Victoria also impressed soccer star husband David, who watched his first ever show of hers.

He said, “I got some good shots. And I think the collection is very strong. Very sexy, and there were some amazing shapes on the girls – it’s been a successful morning. This is my first show and it’s nice to be involved, and to see how hard my wife works.”

The former ‘Hills’ star was at her grandmother’s home when she found the children’s toy by chance, and its bright colors and myriad shapes reminded her of patterns she could use for her next Whitney Eve collection.

She told People.com, “I was looking at it, and was inspired by the prints and colors. But it’s also based on what kind of girl I feel like I’ve grown to be the past couple years.”

Whitney’s latest collection will be shown at New York Fashion Week and she admits she has had to work hard for it to come to fruition as she only found out it would be showing in January.

She added, “I started organizing this maybe a month and a half ago. The collection that I was doing was already being done, because obviously I’d do it anyway, but we decided pretty last minute we wanted to be part of Fashion Week.”

Whitney will also be on hand at the show, to help pick out the looks and styling of the models at the event.

She added, “I’m waiting to see what the looks are like for the show. I don’t want to take anything from the show, so I’ll pick up the pieces and put something together.”

Whitney admits she is “pretty nervous,” but has the support of her family backstage, adding, “My parents are here, my sister and my brother are here, another sister’s coming. They’re here to support.”
