Well, it’s that time of year again. Just when you thought it was ok to sink into your holiday season indulgences… the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show happens, leaving you to push aside your mince tart. Here’s what you missed from the 2014 extravaganza held last night, December 1, in London.

In a snippet of VS gossip, Taylor Swift’s return to the catwalk to perform was not without whispers hitting the rumour mill. Prior to the show it was announced that Australia’s golden girl and Rescu. favourite, Jessica Hart would not be a part of the production.
According to what was presumably a very credible source, “It’s not been announced that Jessica is not walking, but it was a direct request from Taylor that this be the case if she were to go.”
“No one can know that Taylor requested Ms. Hart not be in the show; they want to keep that under wraps but that’s the facts.”
After Jess’s comments from last year, it is said Swift had her team remove the model from the runway show before they’d even start to negotiate. Hart took what was perceived as a sledge at the Shake It Off singer, saying: “God bless her (Taylor Swift’s) heart. I think she’s great. But, I don’t know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that.”
“It was taken out of context, but I have certainly learnt my lesson,” Jess later told Australian Vogue.
At the time, Victoria’s Secret President and Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek said, “There is no truth to the rumours that Jessica Hart has been fired or that she will no longer work with the brand.” Her Body by Victoria contract continued and she is still working with the lingerie giant.
Nevertheless, the show went on.
The best bodies in the business took to the breathtaking runway with cascading hair, uber tans and of course, plenty of underwear. The sexiest show on earth saw the 40 Angels strut gazelle-like over more than 100 feet of sparkling runway.
High fashion darling Karlie Kloss and the recently married Behati Prinsloo opened the show in the Gilded Angels category, Brazil’s Adriana Lima and Alessandro Ambrosio formed part of the Exotic Traveler display and Sweden’s Elsa Hosk and Canadian Grace Mahary took part in the University of Pink. The golden wings worn by Karlie Kloss in the Gilded Angels segment are made of 18k gold
Taylor Swift was assisted by Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and the dark and moody ballads from Ireland’s Hozier.
Earlier, backstage, Brazilians Lima and Ambrosio, both veteran Angels at 33, donned the bejeweled “Fantasy Bra” — a $2 million sapphire, ruby and diamond set that, though comprised of 16,000 gems, was still cheaper than the $10 million bra Candice Swanepoel, 26, wore last year.
There were 39 pairs of wings created for the catwalk alone, and the models were buffed and polished to perfection by 25 makeup artists, 25 hair stylists and 9 manicurists.
