The international fashion weeks have left us in complete awe collection after collection so far. But we have to admit there have been some stand-out ‘what the?’ moments.

First up we have the Betsey Johnson Spring 2013 show at New York Fashion Week. The superhero/just down right weird combination we’d say would probably only ever be appropriate at dress up parties and even then it’s pushing it.

Next up, also at New York Fashion Week was runway show The Blonds, with their spring 2013 collection taking a more theatrical under the sea approach.

Moving on to London Fashion Week, it’s clear the stand out weird factor show of the week was Irish milliner Philip Treacy’s collection showing.

The renowned hat maker, who has previously designed styles for The Queen of England, had been absent from London Fashion Week over the last eight years. This come-back collection while no longer appropriate for her majesty (we can’t see the Queen sporting this lit-up Christmas tree look anytime soon), it certainly was a hit for Queen of Pop Lady Gaga’s renowned wacky sense of style. The starlet even opened the show and was later snapped sitting front row wearing a floral helmet designed by Tracey.

Last up, but certainly not least, we have Prada’s spring 2013 Milan runway show with their split toe booties paired with open sandals. Usually this look is the ultimate fashion faux pas but Prada had this quirky sock-sandal combination worn by every model walking in the show.
