Since 1907 the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball has been lowered in one of the world’s most impressive celebrations and this year, to accompany the celebration, Waterford and Times Square are inviting people around the world to share their messages of peace as we enter a new year.

“Waterford, a global brand synonymous with celebration, is overjoyed to unite people around the world in the common goal of peace by collecting personal and meaningful messages and recognizing them during a live toast on New Year’s Eve,” said Waterford Vice President of Global Marketing, Regan Iglesia.
For more than a decade, Waterford crystal triangles have adorned the Times Square ball and each year, the incredible designers at Waterford introduce a new signature cut crystal patten to become part of the current series.
Peace is the final release in the current “World of Celebrations” series, joining Light, Joy, Courage, Love and Friendship. The Peace pattern showcases a dove surrounded by a burst of sunlight.
Some of the messages of peace shared over social media will be read aloud during the live webcast as the ball drops and the rest will be posted online. If you want to submit your own message of peace, simply do one of the following before 5pm EST 31st December 2012:
