If you are looking for something fun to do this Sunday (15th January), make sure you mark this fantastic event in your planner!
SLAM Summer Beach Volleyball Festival is landing at Scarborough on Sunday 15th January. More than just a beach volleyball comp’, this is a travelling festival which drops in on the best beaches around the country and features one hell of a party.
Attendees and participants will be treated to a display of both amateur and elite volleyball in the round robin competition of three levels; The Cup, The Plate and The Bowl, with trophies and giveaways in each section up for grabs. Local pubs will also compete against each other in a bid to take out the Corona Cup.
SLAM Scarborough will feature a roll-call of talent including the hottest emerging DJs and Aussie bands, elite volleyball players and local celebrities. The Potbelleez, Boom! Bap! Pow!, Kaz James (Body Rockers) and Hook n Sling will be amongst those headlining the day and making sure the party continues well beyond the court action.
This summer the SLAM Festival has already touched down in Noosa Beach (QLD), Palm Beach (NSW) and St Kilda Beach (VIC), finishing up in Glenelg Beach (SA).
This year, SLAM for the first time will include an elite competition aptly named ‘King of the Beach’ starring pro-beach volleyball players. Once again SLAM delivers on being the best and biggest touring beach party.
It’s the biggest volleyball festival in the Southern Hemisphere… Be there! For more information, please visit: www.slamfestival.com.au
