Looking for a chill-blocking but still sweet spring piece? Rescu. has the answer – and it’s been all over the runways…
Spring is coming – but that doesn’t mean that fashion instantaneously goes into sundresses and sandals.
How do you handle the cooler season while still preparing for the heat?
One helpful trend Rescu. is loving? Animal prints on jumpers.
Oversize, cartoony, even photo-realist – animals are having a moment, largely due to Burberry’s huge owls on their winter collection.
Soft, close-fitting jumpers with an animal splashed over the front are the right mix of cool and youthful to be worn all over the place.
Our best spring picks? Pair them with skinnies, knee-high boots and a blazer – and a scarf, if you’re feeling under-accessorised. Or pick up a midi-length skirt and ballet flats, and work some femininity into the look.
Otherwise, drape over a maxi-dress for an interesting silhouette.
They’re particularly cool with Peter Pan long-sleeved shirts underneath, particularly with a bit of clashing print.
Our favourites? Mulberry’s tiger-print grey piece, J.Crew’s french hen sweater and the penguins on SugarHill Boutique for ASOS’s ochre version.
Just don’t go with iron-on versions – make sure they’re knitted into the fabric of the piece, or you’ll look hopelessly 80s.
