Why Miranda Kerr Left VS Runway
Rumours have been circling that this year’s Victoria’s Secret runway will be without Aussie angel Miranda Kerr for some time now, and now the model herself has confirmed those whispers.
At last night’s launch of Stuart Weitzman’s line of 50/50 boots for Gilt, Kerr told media, “They asked me to walk in the show, and I really wanted to, but I have to be in Asia that week. It’s interesting to know that it will be the first year that I’m not there!”
Miranda has walked the show every year since 2007, except for 2010 when she was pregnant with her son Flynn, and said the decision was tough, but that, “I can’t be in two places at the same time, you know?”
The reason behind her trip to Asia is promotion of her Kora Organics range, which is in the midst of a huge expansion. She said, “We’re in over 400 stores in Australia, we launched on Net-a-Porter, and we just launched our website. So we’ve got a new fulfillment centre in Los Angeles and Australia, which is so much more efficient for our customers and for the environment.”

Beyonce Support Act Backs Out
The Australian leg of Beyonce’s Mrs Carter Show world tour kicks off in just a matter of days, and a serious spanner has been thrown in to the works! Queen Bey’s support act, US-based Australian star Iggy Azalea, has pulled out of three out of four Sydney shows she was signed on for, with the tour promoter citing an ‘unforeseen international scheduling conflict’ as the reason for the cancellations.
This isn’t the first time the controversial rapper has canned a show either — earlier this month she cancelled her own headline shows, claiming she had never agreed to them!
Sydneysiders attending the November 3rd show, and all other capital cities will still see Azalea on stage ahead of Bey; but the October 31st, November 1st and 2nd shows will see 2009 Australian Idol winner Stan Walker instead.
In other Beyonce news, the star’s most recent tour rider has been revealed, and it is surprisingly without the diva demands we’ve become accustomed to hearing about from celebs. In addition to asking for a completely baby-proofed room, she asked it to be furnished in while, large enough to seat eight, set to 22 degrees, well-lit, and outfitted with a giant vanity for her makeup. All the more reason to bow down to Queen Bey!
Lara Stone for L’Oreal Paris
Yesterday we brought you news of two pop stars collaborating with two beauty brands, and now we have news of yet another match-made-in-heaven beauty/celebrity partnership.
This time, the celeb in question is model Lara Stone, who has been announced as the new global ambassador for L’Oreal Paris.
Of the new role, Lara said, ““I am so flattered to join L’Oréal Paris. Getting the chance to say “You’re worth it” to women around the world is a great honour. L’Oréal Paris is a brand that has always understood that beauty and personality go hand in hand. I totally identify myself to the Brand values considering my own history and career. Beauty is something you invent for yourself. It’s a powerful way of claiming who you really are.”
Twenty-nine year old Lara is married to British actor David Walliams and became a mother in May this year. She will be the spokesperson for future product innovations in make-up, hair care, and hair colour.
