We are seeing this look in a number of shows in fashion weeks across the world and it had been featured as the look for this season in campaigns from Moschino and DSQUARED to Topshop.
Miss Moss is rocking this sexy look on the cover of this month’s British Vogue and has adopted it into her personal style by wearing this Brigitte Bardot inspired trend to events such as the Costume Institute Gala and the GQ Men of the Year Awards. A strong change in direction from her signature raw/naturel style.
To create this look:
The most important and difficult attribute is to get the correct angle of the line – the line should follow the angle of the bottom lash line and not the top. Try folding a tissue then placing it at the outer corner and along the bottom lash line and then continue the liner up and out along the angle of that line, then take the top lash line out to meet it.
Top Tip: I find it easier to start by creating the angle and line with a soft black eyeliner pencil and then with an eyeliner brush and the Bobbi Brown Gel liner in Black Ink fortify the shape.
Also, keep some ModelCo Eye-Make-up Remover Tips on hand to use as an eraser to tidy up any mistakes.
