The first trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street has been released, The Voice has crowned their winner, and one video from the Miss Universe competition has gone viral.

Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street Trailer
Riding on the red-hot heels of his Gatsby performance, Leonardo DiCaprio’s next big film, The Wolf of Wall Street, has just revealed its first official trailer.
The filmic adaptation of the book of the same name sees DiCaprio play Jordan Belfort – a real life Wall Street bigwig who made around a million dollars a week (yes, a week, that’s not an auto-correct fail) during the 1990s before he was jailed for some white collar criminal action. After his time behind bars, Belfort wrote two best-sellers (The Wolf of Wall Street and Catching The Wolf of Wall Street) which chronicle his time as a hard-partying, luxury-tuxedo wearing, womanising, white collar criminal and now Leo is about to bring those books to life.
The first trailer features a new track from Kanye West’s new album and features some of the other stars in the film including Matthew McConaughey and Jonah Hill.
With Martin Scorsese as director and Terrence Winter (The Sopranos) as writer, we’re pretty sure this one isn’t going to let us down. And if the trailer is anything to go by, this one might even exceed expectations… watch it below.
The Voice Winner Announced
Last night 2.3 million Australians tunned in to Channel Nine to find out which hopeful would win The Voice this year and the result was exactly as fans expected.
It was Team Seal’s Harrison Craig, the 18-year-old from Melbourne who suffers from a stutter that disappears when he sings, who was crowned The Voice and took home a huge $60,000 in prize money.
Craig has been the favourite right from the start but after last week’s live final, Craig’s original track ‘More Than A Dream’ hit number one on iTunes, he concreted his place as the frontrunner to take out the big prize. The star describes his style as ‘popera’ – a combination of pop and opera.
Team Ricky’s Luke Kennedy, 30, came in second place, Team Delta’s Celia Pavey, 19, was in third and Team Joel’s Danny Ross, 30, took out fourth.
Man of the moment Robin Thicke was on hand to perform his hit single Blurred Lines on the night and the top sixteen artists performed a rendition of John Farnham’s You’re the Voice.
Miss Utah’s Cringe-Worthy Response
A Miss USA competition without a cringe-worthy moment just wouldn’t feel quite right. Luckily, this year the competition delivered in spades thanks to Miss Utah, or Marissa Powell, who stumbled around her answer to a question about income equality, creating a moment of video that has since gone viral.
The 21-year-old from Salt Lake City was asked, “A recent report shows that in 40 per cent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?”
Amongst the drivel Powell responded was, “…I think, especially the men are, um, seen as the leaders of this and so we need to try to figure out how to create education better so that we can solve this problem. Thank you.”
