With the incredible title of ‘Global Beauty Authority’, Annie travels the world for Benefit Cosmetics, providing women with the instant beauty solutions they’ve been longing for.
Jean and Jane Ford, Annie’s mum and aunt, created Benefit Cosmetics, one of the world’s most beloved makeup brands, building a cult following with clever and unique beauty solutions. Now, along with her sister Maggie, Annie is continuing their legacy. Starting as an intern, she has worked her way up through the brand, working in every possible role.
Annie has been developing the skills required to become a ‘beauty authority’ since she was a teenager. In high school, she wowed her friends by doing their makeup with finesse. This innate sense of confidence and love of playing with products has been the foundation for her entire career.
Annie has built a successful career on addressing the core needs of women worldwide. ‘We don’t follow trends or watch the runway, we talk to real women, just like you, and ask them, what are your biggest beauty dilemmas?’ It is the process of problem solving that she attributes to the success of Benefit, and her own career.
Benefit’s business philosophy is that beauty is about more than the right products – it’s about confidence, and more importantly, fun. Annie carries this philosophy through to life and her career, saying, ‘Laughter is the best cosmetic, that’s our motto.’
