Spring is finally upon us, and while many of us are feeling super excited about the sunshine, longer days and warming weather, most of us have probably also put in a good 9-10 months of hard work and may be starting to feel a little tired.
Luckily there are a number of great natural alternatives to help you boost your energy and keep you energised and fresh right up until the end of the year. Kate Kendall, co- founder of Flow Athletic and Blackmores Yoga and Wellbeing Coach, gives us her top natural remedies for a much needed energy boost!

Eat a Diet Rich in Whole-foods
Your diet is so important when it comes to your energy levels, health, mind, weight and more! In fact, I would say that it’s around 80% of the focus when it comes to achieving your health goals.
Eating a diet that is rich in foods that are as natural as possible is a great way to keep your metabolism firing and your energy levels up. If you eat something that is too processed, high is sugar and other nasties you run the risk of an energy crash. Instead focus on long lasting sustainable energy rich foods that make you feel good.
Tea
I love a good tea as they are not only rich which antioxidants and other health benefits, but they also provide the perfect moment to sit and ‘pause’ which, as counter productive as it seems, are great for productivity.
However if you’re on the go but still want to reap the health benefits, I usually go for a natural formula like ginger or liquorice which is great for energy as well as green tea.
Coconut Oil
Did you know that coconut oil contains triglycerides, which are a fast- acting energy source that your body can use more quickly than coffee! If you need a quick boost of energy try a teaspoon of coconut oil. Better still, mix it in some berries or with some fruit so you can get an antioxidant boost at the same time.
Keep a Consistent Sleep/ Wake Cycle
As the weather starts to warm up, its normal to want to do more activities after work, stay up later and of course end of year party season will be creeping up in no time too.
While you should absolutely go out and live life to the fullest, keep in mind that if you are going to sleep at different hours every night, you may struggle to wake up as a result, and therefore miss your morning workouts/ walk/ breakfast etc. all of which are things that can drastically affect your energy levels. So be mindful of that.

Yoga
My true love is yoga as it is mindful while also allowing you to move, strengthen, lengthen and energise your body.
