RESCU: Speak me through what you’ve just done.
Dr Joseph Hkeik: We have just done a mini liquid facelift addressing the changes that have occurred in the last 6 months, where you’ve lost a tiny bit of volume on the cheek you sleep on, which is the right side. So, I’ve put a tiny bit on the cheekbone area just to give it width, not height. I have given you a little bit of filler on the apple of the cheek on the right side. RESCU: What treatment have you given me?
Dr Joseph Hkeik: I’ve given you RHA3 which is a new filler, it’s come from Paris and it’s from Teoxane and this one is designed to be the closest to human movement and all human expression on the face. The filler is not stiff; it’s very mobile with our expression.
RESCU: How long will the filler last?
Dr Joseph Hkeik: Anywhere between 1 year to 1 and half years.
RESCU: So this would be a great new generation for someone that is a little filler shy?
Dr Joseph Hkeik: Yes, and also because it’s designed for expression. So people who are worried about looking like they have had filler, this filler actually moves as you smile. It’s got this ability to expand and contract as you move your face. It’s a hyaluronic acid filler, so people don’t need to be tested for it because we already have hyaluronic acid in our skin. I think it’s going to be the very popular in the next year.
RESCU: So I can see it has an immediate result as my skin feels instantly better and filled, but will it get better with time as well?
Dr Joseph Hkeik: Yes, in 7-14 days it will settle much better in your skin and also bring more water so it hydrates itself and expresses itself in much better ways, it gives you a light lift as well.
